I'm Derrick — a full stack engineer working out of South Africa with seven years shipping production software across banking, real estate, energy and consumer apps.

Today I split my time between Collinson, where I lead the build of a group-wide payment platform, and Surveya, where I help deliver the Just Energy Transition Funding Platform. Before that I built merchant POS software at Capitec and rebuilt a Django real-estate product at Prop Data.

Jubilant Innovations is the studio I run on the side — small, sharp, opinionated. We take on engagements where the engineering bar matters: payments, fintech, internal tools, data-heavy dashboards.
